I’m not a big Seth Rogen, though I enjoy Superbad. And I’m not a Green Hornet fan, though I know that Bruce Lee got his big break from the 60s TV show. But I am looking forward to watching The Green Hornet when it comes out on January 2011.
I’ve seen the trailers and they got me really interested. I’m a sucker for buddy movies like Lethal Weapon, especially when martial arts actions are mixed-in.

I did a quick research on Jay Chou, the guy who’ll play Kato (Bruce Lee’s role), and discovered that he’s a big star in China, Hong Kong, and other Asian countries. He’s a multi-talented artist who began his career as a songwriter. Then he released an album that sold millions. Then he eventually started acting a few years ago and was apparently good at that too.
So Jay Chou is not a martial arts guy, like Jet Li or Tony Jaa (Ong Bak). But he’s a big Bruce Lee fan and a talented performer. That ought to be good enough to fill-in as Kato.
